WLF teases 2024 plans and fights with Feng Tianhao, Huang Yuele

WLF plans to co-promote with Black Combat

The specifics may be vague, but Chinese promotion Wu Lin Feng (WLF) is gearing up for a big 2024.

Over the past few days, the promotion has been dropping tidbits concerning their ambitious plans for the year. Last year, a plan to travel and co-promote with several of other Asian MMA promotions was announced on the promotion's WeChat account, including co-promotion with Shooto (Japan), One Pride (Indonesia), and Black Combat (South Korea).

It appears that the show with popular Korean promotion Black Combat will take place this July in South Korea. An exact date was not announced, but top Chinese prospect Huang Yuele (9-1) will participate in the event.

Huang is one of the top fighters in China at the moment and recently suffered his first loss against UFC veteran Reginaldo Vieira at WLF 69 last October. The TUF Brazil winner and Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt tapped Huang with a guillotine choke in the first round.

Also in the cards for WLF is a collaboration with top Indonesian organization One Pride MMA. While a date was not announced, WLF will send fighters to compete at a show held in Bali, Indonesia, against Indonesian fighters. Athletes scheduled to compete at that event include Hailai Wusamo (6-1), Eqiyuebu (4-1), and Degaxue (6-0-1).

Rounding out the announcements was the news that top Chinese flyweight Feng Tianhao (15-2-1) will challenge for the WLF belt against Zhou Kun (11-4). No date or location was announced for the fight. Feng is on a thirteen-fight win streak and has produced highlight-reel finishes in several of his most recent fights. Zhou is coming off a first-round knockout over Brazil's Deuzivan Sousa last September.

More announcements concerning the WLF 2024 schedule are expected for the next couple weeks.
