Quickly Japanese prospect Arisa Matsuda will head to her hometown for her next strawweight title defense with DEEP.
The promotion announced the upcoming fight card for DEEP Osaka Impact 2024 1st Round, which takes place on March 17th at the Sumiyoshi Kumin Hall in Osaka, Japan. The event features Matsuda (4-0), a former baseball player, taking on "Madonna the Rocket".
In addition, Aoi Kuriyama (6-5-1) - who has won five of her last four fights- will take on Mana Akagi (2-2) at bantamweight.
Arisa Matsuda has quickly become a top fighter to watch in Japanese MMA, despite only making her professional debut in August of 2022. She most recently fought another highly-touted prospect in Machi Fukuda last November, winning a split decision and the strawweight championship.
