Shooto Colors Vol. 2 Results: Sawada crowned atomweight queen

Updated: Jan 20

Chihiro Sawada continues to climb as Japanese prospect worth watching.

The 26-year old submitted Miku Nakamura with an armbar in the first round to claim the Shooto atomweight championship. She's now 6-0-1.

The Japanese MMA legend Megumi Fuji presented Sawada with a literal crown to make things official. The undefeated prospect has already fought- and won- in Shooto, ONE Championship, and Combate Global in her short MMA career.
