The main event of Matrix Fight Night 14 is set!
A massive featherweight title fight pits champion Sanjeet Budhwar against Abdul Azim Badakhshi.
MFN President Ayesha Shroff announced the fight on social media.
MFN 14 does not yet have an announced date or location, but will also feature an interim bantamweight title fight in the co-main event between Mohammad Farhad and Chungreng Koren.
Sanjeet Budhwar (10-2) is considering by many as the top prospect in Indian MMA at the moment. The MFN featherweight champion won the belt at MFN 10 in 2022, and successfully defended it against Shyam Anand at MFN 13 last October. In addition to dual wins over Anand, he also holds wins over Dhruv Chaudhary, Dorde Stojanovic, and Atabek Abdimitalipov.
"The Afghan Lion", Abdul Azim Badakhshi (14-3) is also a top prospect in the whole South Asia region. Badakhshi is undefeated in MFN and is coming off a devastating, eighteen-second knockout of Park Hae Jin at MFN 13. He was scheduled to compete in the second season of Road to UFC, but had to withdraw.
MFN 14 will air on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
