Korean MMA has been mostly quiet in 2024 (with the exception of last weekend's Black Combat event), but perhaps it's time to get rolling.
Double G FC announced that they'll be hosting its sixteenth event on March 9th at the Iksan Indoor Stadium in Iksan, South Korea. A featherweight fight between Seo Dong Hyun (6-2-1) and Lee Do Gyeom (9-5) will take place at Double G FC 16 as well.
They also anticipate hosting an event in September of 2024.
Double G FC didn't promote any events in 2023, with Double G FC 15 taking place on December 23rd, 2022. Launching in 2018, Double G FC has seen fighters like Park Sung Hyun, Ok Rae Yoon, Kim Tae Kyun, and more rise through their ranks.
Seo Dong Hyun, a member of Team Stun Gun, is unbeaten in his last six fights. His fights have primarily taken place on the Korean MMA scene, with his most recent outing taking place at DEEP 117 Impact last December against Hiroto Uesako.
His opponent, Lee Do Gyeom, has fought internationally at the elite level already. After appearances at UAE Warriors, PFL, and AFC, he most recently fought at ONE Friday Fights 12 last April. He finished Guilherme Antunes by TKO in the second round.
