AFC 30 set for February 24th in Vietnam, Song Hyun Jong to headline

Korean promotion Angel's Fighting Championship is starting 2024 on foreign soil.


AFC 30 was announced today by the promotion for February 24th at the Grand Ho Tram Strip in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The event will be the fifth time that AFC has hosted an event in Vietnam, alternating between Vung Tau and various cities in South Korea.


The main event sees the return of Korean prospect Song Hyun Jong (6-1) to the promotion after fighting in Zeus FC last December. In that fight, Song rebounded from the first professional loss of his career with a unanimous decision win over Lee Min Joo.


Fighting Song will be undefeated Brazilian featherweight Pablo Eduardo (4-0). Eduardo, who holds a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, and teaches BJJ in Vietnam.


Other notable fighters on the card include Muay Thai striker Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat of Vietnam and Korean Zombie MMA's Choi Han Gil. The event will stream on AFC's YouTube channel on February 24th.
